In 2004, ASE certified MASTER TECHNICIANS with ADVANCED LEVEL ENGINE PERFORMANCE SPECIALISTS certifications, ARNE JENSEN and JAY SULLIVAN combined their knowledge and skills and founded EL CAMINO SMOG & REPAIR. The two business owners met in 1985 and worked together at a SMOG inspection and repair station. As their experience grew, they set out separately to pursue more challenging jobs while continually undergoing the latest educational classes, seminars, clinics, and training to stay on the cutting edge of technology and keep up with ever changing automobile/light truck diagnosis, service, and repair procedures. The two professionals kept a business relationship over the years and frequently traded tips and advice on cars with particularly difficult problems to figure out.
A reputation developed for each of them as the “go to” guy when customers were fed up with other shops’ inability to diagnose and fix their cars right the first time. (Often times the 2nd , 3rd, 4TH time).
Both ARNE & JAY have over 25 years of Journeyman level automotive experience as well as on-board computer systems diagnostics.
Together, with its staff, EL CAMINO SMOG & REPAIR can tackle virtually any problem, diagnose it, and fix it right the first time. We have come to realize that once a customer has visited us, they have found a trustworthy honest home for their Automotive needs and a friendly professional environment.
